Jindent - Source Code Formatter for Java/C/C++ can be easy integrated into the most common IDEs like Eclipse, Netbeans, JDeveloper, Intellij IDEA and JBuilder. All plugins are part of any Jindent software package and can be automatically installed by native installers:

  • Easy invocation from editor window
    Jindent is part of the editor context menu and can be quickly accessed to format the file opened in the current editor window.
  • Easy invocation from project and file navigator window
    Jindent is part of the project and file navigator context menu and can be quickly accessed to format single files, projects, packages and directories.
  • Detailed report about all Jindent events
    The Jindent plugin reports all important events in a special message console. Double-click on a message and the corresponding file will be opened in a new editor window located at the corresponding source code line causing the message.
  • Embedded Jindent preferences
    All Jindent settings can be configured through Jindent's Customizer which is embedded within the IDE preferences window.
    Jindent's Customizer offers full Help-On-Click support and a preview window for all setting modifications.
  • Full undo support
    Full undo support for all editor source code changes performed by Jindent.
  • Optimizing Imports (Eclipse / IntelliJ IDEA only)
    Unused imports will be removed and wildcard imports will be substituted by explicit import declarations.
  • Format on Save/Open (Eclipse / Netbeans only)
    Supports automatic formatting of source code editor content before saving to harddisc or after opening in editor.
  • Automatic online installation from public update centers
